David Gonzalez, storyteller extraordinaire, joins me to present two classics of the Young People's repertoire: Saint-Saens' Carnival of the Animals, and Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf. Both of these were intended for orchestra, but I believe (of course!) that they actually become more effective as solo piano pieces. For Carnival, David does his own original, hip, expressive and moving poetry written for the occasion!
