Special Projects
Carnival of the Animals

**Special Presentations at the next APAP conference, Jan 8-11, 2010, NYC. **
New poetry written and performed by David Gonzalez brings a hip and modern twist to this children’s classic. The depth of the text gives something to adults to chew on as well. Frederic performs the virtuosic version for solo piano.

Beethoven Symphony Grassroots

Liszt toured Europe for 10 years in the early 1800’s. He implemented a grassroots effort to popularize the music of Beethoven, especially the Symphony V through his remarkable transcription.
Frederic Chiu brings this timeless work to audiences around the world, in the Liszt version for solo piano, a refreshing perspective on this war-horse.

Amoyal/Buffo

Pierre Amoyal and Buffo the Clown go head to head in a poetic and slapstick musical theater piece that has played hundreds of times in Europe. Frederic joins them whenever possible, in France, in Switzerland, Egypt and the United States.
