A re-creation of the historic duel between Liszt and Thalberg - Frederic is playing the role of Thalberg, with the Paraphrases on Moses in Egypt and God Save the Queen. Will he rewrite history and win the duel?!?

Frederic spends time every summer at the Mohonk Mountain House, with family and friends, and a little music along the way. This evening, he explores some well-known German classics, including the Liebestod by Wagner, and the St. Matthew Passion by Bach, and some lesser-known works, including the small scale, two movement Sonata by Beethoven Opus 56.

The Theatre St. Bonnet is a jewel in the heart of France. A famous trompe-l’oeil artist did the decor, so the curtains are not real, but the wonderful acoustics are!

The Montpellier Radio France festival is one of the big summer festivals in France. Frederic collaborates with pianist and long-time friend Jean-Efflam Bavouzet in Liszt’s arrangement of the Fourth Concerto, as well as individual movements from Beethoven Quartets arranged by various composers, including St-Saens and Balakirev.
